The magnitude 2.2 star known as Sadr resides at the center of the constellation Cygnus asterism. Cygnus sits in the center of the spiral arms of the Milky Way and is home to a number of interesting deep space objects. The area around Sadr contains a diffuse emission nebula, a number of dark nebulae, and an open cluster all of which are visible in this image.
