Messier 13 (M13) is a globular cluster located in the constellation Hercules. This globular cluster is one of the most impressive visible in the northern hemisphere and consists of over 100,000 stars. Under good seeing conditions, this cluster is visible to the naked eye as smudge within the Hercules asterism.
